Our number one FAQ – how do we monitor quality?

This has to be one of the most popular questions that we get asked – and it’s obviously one that is key to our company’s success.

One of the first jobs we do in January each year is look at our statistics for quality for each individual translator we have used over the previous 12 months.

For each job returned throughout the year we record details on delivery to deadline, accuracy of translation and also formatting. This process creates a wealth of information which we then use monitor how our linguists are performing, deal with any issues and make improvements.

This evidence gathering forms part of our ISO procedures but is also useful in tracking the particular strengths of our translators, and helping match their skills to the perfect assignment.

Of course it’s not something that only takes place in January – continuous assessment throughout the year ensures any issues are dealt with promptly but the annual review is the time to take a broader look at things and there are some surprising results…

One of the things we’ve noted this year (alongside how well everyone has done) is that we’ve used a larger number of translators than before. We’ve been involved in an increasing number of specialist projects this last year which have required the services of new, more unusual language combinations. This has enabled us to form links to new countries and new linguists, which has been a real pleasure.

We’ve also noted that we’ve been working with some of our linguists for over 20 years – it’s good to know that quality translators and interpreters have a consistent record of providing accurate work to deadline and are a pleasure to work with!

We’re looking forward to working with old and new linguists over the coming 12 months and compiling a fabulous set of stats for January 2014!

I was just looking for this inmfroation for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your web site. I wonder what's the Google's problem that does not rank this kind of informative web sites closer to the top. Usually the top sites are full of garbage.
