The Client

A private individual purchasing a property in Portugal.

The Challenge

To assist the client with translation of an annotated builder’s report on repairs to the property, with a view to potential legal action.

The Solution

A mother-tongue English translator with a background in construction was selected who had also lived in Portugal and understood the way that property is designed and laid out in that country. The translator also had legal translation experience to ensure that if the client chose to take the case further, we could use someone already familiar with the case.

End Result

The complicated, heavily annotated original document was presented in a clear manner, with appropriate translation of country-specific features. The construction work remaining to be done was easy to identify and disparities could be picked out quickly. The Client saved time and expense and had a firm footing for taking further action if required. Complete Customer Satisfaction.
