Confidential translations from MTT
Confidentiality, or keeping things secret, is a common requirement for all businesses today and one that MTT takes very seriously. The nature of translation and interpreting assignments means that outsiders are coming into contact with potentially sensitive information, both on a commercial and sometimes personal level.
It’s not unusual for us to handle medical records, confidential sales or design information, contracts or documents for disputes and court cases. So, it’s crucial that confidentiality is high on the list when looking for the right professional translation and language services company.
At MTT we make every effort to keep all documents for translation confidential and handle all personal information securely.
When would you need confidential information to be translated?
If you consider an international company merger, discussions will take place before the proposed public announcements which might be prejudiced if information were to be disclosed in error or maliciously. Personal information, whether medical records after an accident overseas or a contract for a new employee, is also sensitive and needs to be protected.
There are numerous instances where information needs to be kept confidential and yet must be translated.
How do MTT ensure my translations are confidential?
In today’s increasingly litigious and highly competitive workplace, MTT understands that confidentiality is of the utmost importance when offering our translation, interpreting and other language services. It is for this reason that all our staff, linguists and other professionals sign a standard confidentiality agreement.
We can also arrange specific non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with your company before beginning work if required. In this case, our standard translator confidentiality agreement can also be amended to suit your particular requirements, meaning that our linguists are bound by the same terms as ourselves while handling your documents.
We have a very high level of IT security, both at our secure server facility and also at our offsite back-up location. We store and manage all documents on a confidential basis.
MTT has invested in infrastructure, practices and methodologies for the disposal and destruction of confidential customer information, thus preventing unauthorised access to critical data when it is no longer needed. We are fully compliant with ISO 9001 and have our confidentiality policies reviewed to ensure compliance.
- All highly confidential translation documents are stored in locked filing cabinets.
- All electronic confidential information is protected via firewalls, encryption and passwords.
- Confidential documents are sent to and from translators via secure connections or trusted courier. In special cases they are collected and delivered by hand, by one of our team.
- All highly sensitive documents have restricted access.
- All confidential materials are confidentially shredded when no longer needed.
We have been maintaining client security since 1991. All our translation partners are confidentiality–assured, mother-tongue speakers, who are professionally qualified and experienced. Above all they are trusted and well established.
There is generally no extra charge for a confidential translation – we are happy to make special arrangements and sign relevant NDAs to ensure you are happy with the way your documents will be handled. Our Testimonials support our level of customer service and we are happy to look at any particular arrangements you may wish to have in place for your project.
