We’re celebrating our 40th anniversary at MTT!
We’re incredibly proud to have reached this milestone and to still be working with some of our original translators and interpreters.
Over our 40 year career, we’ve won business awards, had articles published in the ITI magazine and local press, and worked with clients and translators in both the UK and far-flung lands.
We’ve had the exciting opportunity to send translators on field trips to visit machinery to help them produce the best possible technical translations. We’re also honoured to have been able to work with many local schools, colleges and universities to provide insight into working with languages. This has included hosting about 30 different interns for work experience and training – some of whom work for us as professional translators now!
Most importantly, our translations have been with you – whether it’s picking out makeup and perfume, writing love letters, organising a menu for a celebratory dinner or the cookware range you’re using to make it, we’ve had a hand in translating just about everything over the years. Be it knitting patterns or interpreting for local football trials, we’re always ready for the task at hand.
Much of this has been under the aegis of our Translations Director Sue Clark, who joined us as an in-house linguist 32 years ago after freelancing with MTT for 3 years. Since then, we’ve translated (in Sue’s words) “a billion billion words” – and the rest is history.
