Finding the One – Choosing the Right Translator

At MTT, we pride ourselves on the exceptional quality and expertise of our network of professional translators. When a customer entrusts a translation to us, the first task is to identify the best linguist to work on the project.

Whether you’re translating a forklift user manual into Polish, a pharmaceutical patient information leaflet into German or a footwear trade catalogue into French, we will find you the perfect translator.

So, what does MTT look for in a translator?

When onboarding new linguists, we set a very high bar in terms of qualifications, competence and experience. MTT’s registered linguists are some of the very best!

As a minimum, linguists must possess and provide credible evidence of:

  • Specialist subject areas backed up by real, evidenced experience;
  • A degree level qualification or higher;
  • A minimum of three years professional translation experience;
  • Clear evidence of their source and target languages (and to be translating into their native language).

However, this is a minimum standard. In reality, most of our translators have decades of experience, higher degrees, professional qualifications and memberships of professional bodies; many have also worked with us for years.

More importantly, MTT selects the best-suited linguist for each job! Our ISO 9001:2015 certification for the provision of translation and interpreting services ensures a consistent quality led approach. We consider every detail to ensure your project is matched with the most suitable linguist.

Get in touch to discuss your requirements and let us take care of the rest.
