How fast your translation can be processed can sometimes come down to how easy your files are to work with. So, how can you prepare your projects for translation?
One of the easiest ways to get your project through the quotation phase quickly is to send an editable file. While we can process PDFs, editable versions in Word and InDesign are far easier as they require less formatting and can be analysed for word counts and repetitions.
Sometimes, we receive files with non-editable text such as in images or graphs. You can let us know if these need to be translated, too, or if they should be left in the original language.
Providing us with a finalised version (though not always possible) also helps to save to-ing and fro-ing in the translation process.
